About Us-FriendsInTheHills

Friends in the Hills Welcome Club, Inc.

is a social club in the beautiful town of Fountain Hills, Arizona. We provide an opportunity
for women who live in our community and the surrounding area to get to know one another, make lasting friendships, and enjoy a wide range of social and cultural activities together.

Generally, we just have a great time getting to know our neighbors and finding common interests that create lasting bonds.

We continue to welcome ladies who are new to the community as well as those who have
lived in the area for a while and are interested in making new friends.

A Brief History of Our Club

In 1989, the year that Fountain Hills first became an independent municipality, our organization was known as the Welcome Wagon and about 50 ladies attended the first meeting, held in February of that year.

In March of 2003, the name was changed to Friends in the Hills Welcome Club, Inc. and the organization became a non-profit corporation.

All Friends in the Hills Members Are Invited to a Catered Luncheon

at the Fountain Hills Community Center on the second Wednesday of each month at 11 AM. The cost to attend is $20 per person and payment must be received at least a week prior to the scheduled luncheon in order to reserve your seat and your meal. Please see the Monthly Luncheons page for details and specific changes for the summer months of June, July and August.

A Hospitality Hostess is available at every luncheon to greet new members and guests who come alone and might feel overwhelmed or uncertain of the appropriate procedures at their first few luncheons.

There are also Hospitality Tables where newcomers can sit together and get to know each other. The Hostess at each table will guide new attendees through the luncheon and Activity Sign-Up processes and answer any questions.

Newcomer's Coffees

are held regularly for new and potential members. Attending one of these coffees allows anyone interested in learning more about our organization to do so in a friendly, small-group setting. Please check the Newcomer's Coffees page to see when the next  one is scheduled and how you can arrange to attend. There is never an obligation to join once you've attended a Newcomer's Coffee or one of our luncheons, as a guest. However, membership is required to continue to enjoy participation in our group's activities.

Many regular gatherings, outings and special events

are offered througout the year, where members can get to know each other while participating in their favorite activities. Browse through the Activities pages to find information on currently scheduled events.
