Friends in the Hills - Healthy Eating

This group will either meet in members' homes, or a local restaurant offering a healthy and delicious menu, on the first Monday of each month at 11:30 AM.  Those who have signed up and been confirmed will bring a dish to share or will be advised of the selected restaurant.
Can you cook 'Healthy?'
If you already enjoy making healthier dishes, or if you'd like to learn how, this is the group for you.
We take turns hosting
pot luck lunches in our own homes and we all try to prepare and share dishes that are high in nutrition and low in fats, salt and sugar. (Sometimes we meet at a restaurant and learn how to make healthier choices when eating out as well.)
This is the perfect opportunity
to taste a variety of healthier-for-you meals that your Friends have prepared and brought.
If you've ever made a 'healthy' or 'light' version of a meal that sounded great in the recipe but turned out tasting like cardboard, don't despair! Give this group a try.
Here, you get to taste new dishes before you go to all the trouble and expense of making them at home.
Recipes are shared,
either at the pot-luck or by email afterward. And desserts are included!!
